The Freedom 90 Comfort-Rä Variable Speed and Two-Stage furnaces typically run on the first stage (65% of full capacity) more than 80% of the time. This virtually eliminates short cycling and temperature swings in your home. The furnace runs longer but at an energy-saving level. This increases the circulation of warm air as the system has a longer time to “stir” the warm air into the environment. This helps distribute warm air more evenly into every room – even in hard-to-heat rooms. When more heat is needed, the second stage is called upon for added comfort.
