PULSE FURNACE MAINTENANCE

Lennox Industries recommends that the Pulse Furnace heat exchanger be pressure tested a minimum of once every four years. This is also the recommended frequency for the replacement of the air flapper valve material. Lennox recommends this because as with all high efficiency condensing furnaces, a combination of factors such as impurities in fuel or combustion air can cause corrosion of key components, which could lead to potentially dangerous leaks. Furnaces that are inadequately or improperly maintained can develop problems, including the possibility of carbon monoxide leaks.
